Every child deserves a place where they feel strong, seen, and supported.
The Peace Environment Project was created from a belief we’ve seen come to life every day at The Yoga Dance Co.: movement is about so much more than learning a skill.
It can be the place a child finds confidence. The place they learn to trust their body, work through big emotions, discover what they’re capable of, and feel like they truly belong.
Our mission is to expand access to movement and mindfulness programs that support confidence, emotional regulation, physical well-being, and personal growth for children and teens.
How We Help
We provide opportunities for children and teens to participate in movement and mindfulness programs, helping make meaningful, consistent experiences accessible to more families.
We raise funds for safe, high-quality equipment and resources that give young people the space and tools they need to explore, learn, and grow.
We’re expanding our work beyond the studio through programming designed for young athletes, using yoga, mobility, breathwork, recovery, and mindfulness to support their bodies and help them navigate the mental and emotional pressures that can come with sports.
Through partnerships with schools, youth organizations, local businesses, and community leaders, our goal is to bring movement and mindfulness into more spaces where children can benefit from it.
Why “The Peace Environment”?
Because peace isn’t always a quiet room.
Sometimes it’s a child hanging upside down for the first time and realizing, I can do hard things.
Sometimes it’s learning how to breathe through frustration, move through fear, recover after a difficult day, or simply having a place where you’re allowed to be yourself.
We want to help create more of those environments for more kids.
